But I have lots to tell you before that.
I turned 18 today. I'm very under-excited considering everything. I should be totally hyped, right? Like feel some meaning in today... Yeah... Maybe I am feeling meaning, but not because of the birthday. Like Yeah, it was fun when my parents whisked me away the second I got home, and I had no idea where we're going. I wasn't even sure we were doing anything tonight. I mean I only got back fro college at 6pm.
Anyway, I'll be quick because my fingers are getting tangled-i'm this tired. hell knows how many mistakes this is going to have... i just gave up on the capitals-too much effort to reach for shit button.
So college have been great. I'm switching my degree to finance and economis (probably) so i could get some law, I'd be minoring in law, because as of today, I'm fascinated by it.
And I meant two people among evryone i really connected with. You know when you feel like you've known them for something like a year? yeah, that's the feeling i'm talking about. And anyone who brings up things like the stock market, economy, politics, the ignorance and power of u.s.a., their politics etc etc etc is pretty much extraordinary. well having a full on interesting conversation on that and sharing opinions without any arogance or look-i-know-all-of-this-so-i'm-super-smart crap is amazing in my books. So yeah, i met a social activist today, who put his life's savings into the stock market. and a smart, funny, chatty, photography loving coffee addict.
This feels like home.
and a sky is closer to us here. what about heaven?
and i'm planning to do a social project for urban noise.
i was thinking about it for a while but after watching julie and julia i'm convinced. just what exactly should i do and document?
and i'm gonna buy a great cookbook. i don't cook enough.
friday night's are gonna be dinner a la moi from now on.
love you all,
passing out,but really happy,
Ruta.

ooh college sounds good! sounds like you have found a nice place! thats fantastic! and finding good people is always the best, some of the friends i made on the very first day of college are still some of my closest friends!
oh and before i forget i just finished reading a book that i kinda insist you must read, especially because of the course you do, its called "A Century of War" by F. William Engdahl. you know the way people say 'oh war is about oil' its true but thats a very simplistic answer, the book gives you a deep insight (albeit it is some opinion but very probable) to oil, war, politics and economics for the last century, a very easy read but please dont let the book depress you! it can have that effect, the entire hopeless spiral'ness of it all >_< It really is so interesting and explains British and American foreign and domestic policy so well!!

And yes, I absolutely love it. Maynooth Campus is home now as far as I'm concerned. I bet this year is gonna be good too.
And wow, that sounds really interesting. I'll check for it in the library when I get my student ID (stupid grants people haven't answered yet.) I don't see the county library having it.
Chomsky? No, as stupid as it might be I only know OF him, as in that there's a writer with his name. But I don't even have a clue as to what type of thing he writes (google to the rescue!)

You're my change of skin,
my summer-winterfall;
I spring to follow you-
this loss is beautiful.
Peeling off my skin
leaving just my eyes behind
you see inside my head-
still know that you are mine.

I love you, I just hate you as a person
Friends are God's way of making up for our families.
Ignorance isn't bliss but its better than the alternative
Glad you're enjoying college

An apple a day keeps anyone away if you throw it hard enough.
Procrastinators unite... Tomorrow.
In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry, and has been widely regarded as a bad idea.
